Caring for your Rabbit's Foot Fern

  • Likes medium to bright sunlight but not direct sun.
  • Water just before the potting mix gets completely dry but this fern is fairly forgiving if it gets completely dry
  • Remove any excess water from the saucer after watering.
  • Ferns love humidity and will thrive near a small diffuser/humidifier or near a window in a humid bathroom.
  • The Rabbit's Foot Fern has brown fuzzy rhizomes that look a little like tarantula legs, but maybe it's best to think of rabbit feet instead! They will grow long enough to creep over the sides of the container with time.
  • Fertilize once in spring and once during the summer with an all-purpose organic indoor fertilizer or use a liquid fertilizer every other time you water spring through summer.
